This is a 5% dilute of Rose Geranium in Sweet Almond oil.
This blend is especially useful for those who enjoy the outdoors. Ideal for dog walkers, runners, walkers, ramblers and anyone exposing skin where there is a chance that ticks are present.
The oil can be applied direct to the skin without any further dilution.
Rose Geranium is a well known essential oil that is thought to help deter ticks from latching on and biting both humans and animals i.e. dogs.
It is a natural alternative that works in a similar way to DEET.
Sweet Almond oil is also thought to be a natural tick deterrent as it naturally contains sulphur which is why we have used it as the base oil. Our Sweet Almond oil does not have an odour and is cosmetic grade.
Amour Natural's 'Tick Away' is not an alternative to wearing protective clothing and is by no means a guarantee that ticks will not still attach to you.
If you have been bitten or have a tick on you please follow the CDC guidelines found here.
